Compare Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers in Iowa

Iowa has a mid-west population pattern consisting of large rural areas and major metropolitan centers. In Iowa, small towns, and large areas of farmland surround colleges, universities, and major cities. Rural areas pose a difficulty in providing drug abuse treatment and prevention; it is a situation made more difficult by distances and sharp differences in cultures. We understand that rural areas have different social influences than large cities and that one must approach the problems of drug and alcohol abuse in ways that are effective for rural conditions. We are ready to help Iowa’s urban and rural families find effective solutions for a loved one’s drug dependence.

Iowa Access to Recovery

The state of Iowa offers a unique program called ATR- Access to Recovery The state provides vouchers to qualified persons in need of drug and alcohol abuse treatment. This program creates a flexible approach to recovery that permits the user and his or her family to have a role in selecting the resources needed for recovery. We offer a vigorous assessment as a first step towards placement in treatment. The assessment plays a key role in identifying the resources needed to provide the best possible opportunity for successful treatment, recovery, and a commitment to drug-free living.

Focus on Teens

Recent data in Iowa suggests that perhaps as little as ten percent of teens in need of alcohol and drug treatment receive care. A large percentage of the untreated group have underlying mental disorders that also require treatment. Iowa initiated its Families in Focus program to detect and treat teens in need and provide prevention resources for at-risk teens and their families. We understand the devastating impact of teen addiction on their families. We also provide resources for the detection of dual diagnosis in cases of an underlying or co-condition that also requires treatment.
